Insurance Contract Assembly Associate (12-month contract)

The Insurance Contract Assembly Associate is responsible for assembling and packaging life insurance certificates within the established service levels for both US and Canadian contracts. Perform quality checks to ensure the accurate issuance of certificates in accordance with the underwriting decision and case management specifications. Ensure specification pages and related documents are handled efficiently in order to meet service and quality standards, and that files are sent to the field offices and members within defined time frames. Insert all appropriate applications and supporting documents required for delivery. Please note this is a 12-month contract.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

  • Review and assemble each file received (contract documents) to ensure contracts have been issued as requested, capturing any amendments and required documentations deemed necessary by the Underwriter and/or Case Manager.
  • Ensure all required applications and supporting documents are retrieved and assembled accurately
  • Review contract documents for accuracy and completeness prior to sending for mailing to ensure that any changes/corrections have been properly reflected in the new contract package.
  • Verify that the contract is issued in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Foresters policies and standards. If error is identified after issue, responsible for taking appropriate action to correct the file and arrange for reissue of contract package
  • Coordinate the distribution of completed contract packages to the appropriate field offices or members
  • Review various systems for instructions, notes and requirements as noted by Case Management or Underwriting team
  • Responsible for assembly of all product lines including both the US and Canadian product mix for all certificate types.
  • Review contracts after issue to ensure that information was entered into the system accurately at the time of initial entry
  • Document and report on daily volumes
  • Escalate any issues related to contract output

Key qualifications/competencies

  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated attention to detail to review application information and identify requirements for additional information/documents based on pre-defined standards
  • Ability to examine and determine accuracy of detailed contacts and related documentation with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight time constraints
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills, able to effectively monitor and track information for multiple files, and to follow-up in a timely manner for each unique file requirement.
  • May be required to lift up to 20lbs on a daily basis
  • Ability to work independently on a repetitive task and maintain high motivation
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
