The Business Development Consultant, will focus on selling our Wealth Management’s Portfolio Management service and Pooled Fund offerings to prospective clients. This person will also maintain and strengthen existing client relationships and provide sales analysis for the department. Responsibilities • Contact prospects to reengage them in the sales funnel; meet interested prospects in-house and offsite • Respond to initial inquiries from paid advertising and successful publications by email, phone or in person meetings • Explain and educate prospects on our investment philosophy in a clear, concise and easy to understand manner • Use a systematic sales methodology to manage your sales funnel productively • Conduct timely sales follow-up by mail and phone; no cold-calling • Prepare accurate and organized account opening paperwork; strong knowledge of IIROC procedures required • Contact existing clients to improve our connection with them and encourage loyalty, in order to positively impact retention, referrals and additional sales • Provide regular sales reporting, program analysis and actionable insights to improve performance of our sales efforts Requirements • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course required • University Degree • Completion of the CFA program a definite asset • Wealth management sales experience preferred • Knowledge of KYC rules under IIROC • Achievement oriented – driven to perform and accomplish your goals • Willing to ‘own’ decisions and tasks • Detail oriented, thorough and organized • Personable – able to meet new people and win them over • Dynamic, self-motivated & articulate
