Requisition #: 94724 Job Title: Communications Specialist Country: Canada State: Ontario City: Etobicoke Employment Status: Full Time Job Responsibilities: (Description): ADP is hiring a Communications Specialist to work on some key projects for the Canadian market and to provide media relations support to the organization. Reporting directly to the Director, Brand and Communications, you will lead the communications project planning and management for two high-visibility projects. You will work with colleagues in the communications team and across functional lines to deliver strategies and materials that support the needs of product management, product marketing, brand and communications, client services, sales and executive teams. You will also work with our media relations and creative agencies to plan and execute high-profile market-facing initiatives. The ideal candidate has a track record of managing innovative communication programs and in a corporate setting, as well as experience in media relations and as a corporate spokesperson. We’re looking for someone who is creative, agile, and comfortable leading complex communications deliverables with multiple stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and execute the annual media relations plan Create media and general communications plans for product launches and other initiatives Work with our agency partners to manage ongoing media and influencer relations, respond to inquiries and track program effectiveness Support senior leaders with media counsel and training Act as corporate spokesperson as needed With the Manager, Internal Communications, develop and execute programs that educate associates about new products With the Manager, Client Communications, develop and execute programs that support client migrations With the Senior Product Marketing Manager, develop and execute sales communication programs for new product launches Track and report on all communications deliverables to the project team and to senior leadership Manage a comprehensive editorial calendar for all communications Balance input from key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses and geographies In close consultation with counterparts in the U.S., evaluate and localize U.S. materials as needed Collaborate with and gather information from a wide variety of internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, and simplify complex information for a wide variety of audiences. Work with agency partners and freelance resources to deliver effective communications Participate as a member of the larger project team in Canada and the U.S. Experience, Skills, Academic: QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field; 4+ years of communications experience in a corporate setting · Demonstrated success managing media relations programs and agencies · Experience as a corporate spokesperson · Experience building and delivering complex communications strategies · Proven capabilities developing clear and compelling content based on target markets · Excellent writing skills with the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view, and create a concise and well-written narrative · Ability to think on your feet and exercise judgment, particularly in narrow time-frames · As part of a cross-functional team, you are also willing to roll up your sleeves and support colleagues in content creation and internal communications · Communications experience in media, Internet, technology, payroll/HR services/financial services industries is highly preferred · Experience developing creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges being mindful of the needs of several different audiences · Experience working within a multi-national company and engaging teams and individuals offsite · Bilingualism an asset · Keenly focused and able to pay painstaking attention to details and develop projects with colleagues in a wide range of locations and job functions The ideal candidate is creative, organized, flexible, works well under pressure and has a good sense of humor Knowledge of social media platforms, graphic design and video production; knowledge of HTML and Adobe Create Suite is a plus Comfortable engaging with executive leaders and teams across business units and collaborating with teams and individuals in different geographical locations Please include relevant writing/work and spokesperson samples with resume IABC membership preferred About ADP: We power organizations with insightful solutions that drive business success.
