Tool Room CNC Programmer and CAD Technician

Tool Room Team leader


The successful candidate will require maturity, excellent judgement, the necessary skills, abilities and experience related to the position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to produce under large demand and possess a self-motivated attitude. Due to the nature of this position a team player that is dedicated to accuracy would be best suited. Performance will be measured by projects being completed β€˜on time’, and the quality of tooling.


General :

  1. Must abide by all Health and Safety Rules and have demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practices.
  2. Responsible for high Manufacturing Reporting Quality, Just-In-Time, and compliance to company standards.
  3. Maintain good working relationships with others.
  4. Adapting to fast faced and priority oriented manufacturing environment.
  5. Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment, this includes active participation in relevant job training
  6. Commit to your self-development goals as discussed with your supervisor and attend all company-sponsored training.

Must Have:

  • Apprenticeship or equivalent machine shop experience.
  • Blue print reading.
  • Proven experience.
  • Experience with using various measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of trade related details.
  • Good communication skills.
  • CAD and CAM programming experience
  • Confident attitude.
  • Computer literate.( Windows, MS Excel)


  • Tool room machines set-up and operation experience.
  • Experience in miniature and precision parts machining.
  • CNC experience.
  • EDM experience.
  • Solid-Works and GibbsCAM exposure.


  • Operating tool room machines.
  • Building parts for molds and dies.
  • Maintenance and repair of moulds.
  • Trouble shooting.
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Works with all departments at all levels.
  • Be able to work flexible hours to meet company schedules.
