Our Client, a manufacturer of superior quality nail and wire products, in business for over 50 years, is currently looking for a Tool & Die Maker.


Tasks :

Set up, operate and maintain machines such as lathe, drill press, and other machine shop equipment.

Fabricate and assemble tools and dies to repair production machines.

Clean, check and maintain machines, tools and equipment on site.

Use measuring equipment including micrometer, height gauge, surface plates and gauge blocks to prove accuracy of alignment and dimensions.

Finish and fit parts to the production line by filing, grinding and cleaning, as required.

Repair, construct, troubleshoot and install machinery parts and components.

Execute any other tasks related to the position.

10 years of experience in a similar role.

An Ontario or Inter-Provincial Tool & Die Maker Certificate is an asset.

Must have mechanical aptitude to support the shop with troubleshooting and repairing issues.

Experience with CNC and conventional machining, lathes, mills, grinders, etc.

Comfortable drafting schematics using CAM / CAD software (like SolidWorks) an asset.

Team Player with a positive attitude.
