Job Description

Our client, a mid-sized promotional, marketing & advertising company is seeking a Media Specialist to join their Toronto team on a contract basis with the intent to roll into full time employment. The Media Specialist must possess extensive knowledge of the digital and social landscape with experience as well in traditional media. You will develop client specific media strategies with a focus on digital & social including executing display, pre-roll and digital sponsorships.

This role requires you to work as part of an integrated marketing team delivering brilliant and flawless program executions. You will be required to brainstorm with other departments to come up with ideas and concepts that are outside of the box and will be encouraged to use the creative side of your thought process. We are looking for a motivated member of the media industry who can contribute innovative ideas.

Responsibilities:

Develop and present digital media plans, proposals and analyses to senior level clients.

Negotiate and purchase digital/social media in addition to standard media.

Create and optimize social campaigns in Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter ad platforms.

Experience in sponsorship and integrated media campaign is a plus.

Monitor and track media plan executions.

Provide clients with weekly updates of metrics including optimization recommendations.

Generate accurate and timely client financial reports (e.g. Budget control reports, blocking charts).

Prepare and present evaluations of media opportunities, media trends and issues of interest to clients.

Build and maintain client/supplier relationships.

Qualifications:

5 – 7 years experience in media including traditional, digital & social media.

Experience in sponsorship & integrated campaign is an asset.

Highly developed organizational skills,

Strong attention to details.

Strong planning and execution skills.

Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.

Ability to prioritize projects.
