Job description
Leading digital projects, you will be responsible for translating business needs into technical requirements and providing subject matter expertise to implement digital solutions and achieve business goals. Communicating your expertise clearly, you will be an active advocate for a simple and helpful digital member experience. You will need to communicate digital best practices with ability to influence others and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach when planning and implementing digital experience initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities

  • Web development expertise – you will need to provide expertise of best practices and possible solutions
  • Graphic design skills – you will be creating wireframes, high fidelity designs for web, training material and mock-ups
  • User experience design skills – you will be creating interactive web/mobile prototypes in Axure
  • Project management skills – you will be participating in and leading digital projects. Providing expertize, managing project timelines, cost and scope is expected of you

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in web design and development and/or user experience (UX)
  • Post secondary education with focus on marketing, web development, or a related business program
  • Practical front-end web design and coding experience or knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with the ability to read and understand the code
  • Professionalism, diplomacy and a positive attitude are essential, you must be able work with and influence people from diverse backgrounds and various levels throughout the organization using effective communication skills to convey your opinion and expertise clearly and concisely on the spot
  • Analytical and problem solving skills are critical, being able to get to the cause of the problem and find ways to fix it. You will be presented with challenges daily; you should be able to come up with solutions and recommendations to solve them
  • Believe in, and practice continuous improvement at all time, identify opportunities for doing things better and faster and see those through to implementation
  • Organized, can effectively manage time, competing priorities and commit to timelines

Preferred skills and experience

  • Experience and knowledge with financial services and/or the insurance industry
  • Content management systems (CMS), graphic design, web design
  • Bilingualism in business French
  • Project Management (PMP) certification
