These teams will operate in a completely agile environment where they will be able to create new capabilities, explore new business models and develop partnerships to help differentiate RBC.The RBC Partnership and Data Analytics Centre of Excellence (“COE”) team is hiring an Account Manager, who will report to the VP of Partnerships & Data Analytics. In this role, you play an important role in the management and commercialization of partnerships. You will work with business development to expand the scope of the relationship across RBC or deepen within an individual Line of Business.What will you do?You will be one of the first members of this new team – helping to shape the structure, design and operating model. Initial responsibilities are as follows.Partnership Relationship Management:Be RBC’s point person with 10-15 external partners.Build deep understanding of each partner’s business model and strategyDevelop a strong, working understanding of the bank’s current and emerging assets and leverage them within the partnershipWork hand-in-hand with partners to identify creative ways in which we can work together to build new customer solutions and drive material growth opportunitiesBring together internal business and product leaders to deliver on prioritized opportunitiesPrepare for, and review, partnership progress with each partner on a regular basis to ensure both sides are maximizing their long-term valueResolve any issues that come up in the ordinary course of working with the partnersManage the internal governance (e.g., call reporting, stakeholder integration) for the partners.Attend key conferences to understand partner needs New Partner Identification:Contribute to the roster of potential strategic partnerships For RBCWork closely with Ecosystem and Line of Business leads, idea managers and data teams to identify targetsMust-Have’s5+ years partnership and engagement management experience with at least 1 year in a strategic capacity. Deeply understand our partners’ businesses and aspirations with emphasis on developing industrial strength tools and capabilities while using data to create innovative, mutual revenue opportunities.Structure and organized approach with the ability to think creatively about broad solutions that start with the customer.Proven ability to roll-up-your sleeves to deliver, including superior reporting and analysis capabilitiesDemonstrated experience in building trusted partnerships at external companies.Demonstrated experience working with mobile, digital and new technologies and platformsStrong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way across the organization but also comfort in working independently, in ambiguity, and without structure to achieve results.Nice-to-Have’sExperience and success in both small startup environments and large matrix organizationsFI, Telecom and Retail experience an assetAbout RBCRoyal Bank of Canada is Canada’s largest bank, and one of the largest banks in the world, based on market capitalization.
