DYNAMIC COMPANY LOOKING FOR A FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER. Our client is seeking a Finance Business Partner on a full-time basis. Finance Business Partner Our client is a leading, specialized health care provider and research organization in Toronto. An exciting full-time opportunity as a Finance Business Partner exists in the Finance department, reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. This position is responsible for the daily operation of their portfolio of programs and includes the following primary functions: develop and maintain client relationships, support and creative problem solving for client needs, annual budget preparation, financial analysis, monthly reporting, forecasting and ad hoc projects. About the Opportunity Act as a business partner with program areas to provide financial analysis, communicate risk areas and work with the program managers to identify risk mitigation Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including key statistical indicators, prepare accruals and provide comments and or explanations of performance results Monitor program expenses to identify trends and develop trending analysis, identify solutions that will reduce excess spending Review and understand all ambulatory stats ensuring stats are accurate, appropriate and using stats to analyze program performance and provide solutions to improve financial results Assist program managers with preparing financial and statistical budgets including forecasts by gathering historical data, analyzing growth and preparing projections in collaboration with managers Meet with budget owners regularly to remain appraised of business operations, conduct variance analysis and provide meaningful variance explanations to inform management decisions Assist with the auditing process by providing supporting documentation and responding to questions from the auditors Support external reporting to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, including the submission of the Hospital and Community Accountability Planning Submission, and other reporting requirements Collaborate with program managers in the preparation of business cases and the evaluation of changes to the operations of programs Prepare financial reports and provide material for presentations for senior management to aid in their decision-making processes by gathering accurate information in a timely and efficient manner Coordinate and/or provide back-up to support business units within the Finance department Ensure that the accounting work performed in the individual business units adheres to WCH financial policies and procedures and ensure quality assurance and compliance to standards and legislative requirements As a role model and champion you will work to identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care. About You Professional Accounting Designation required (CPA) Degree in Accounting or related field required, Masters in Business Administration or related field is an asset Minimum of five (5) years related financial experience Strong computer working knowledge, particularly of MS Office applications, and knowledge of SAP and EPIC Demonstrate creativity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Ability to take initiative and embrace challenges Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently Good work and attendance record required Professional behaviour and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of the organization This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all Salary Range $70,000-$85,000/year
