You come with a few years of HR experience under your belt and are keen to progress into a generalist or HR business partner role. Your number one client is the employee. You bring a positive attitude and a strong customer service approach. You will take part in talent programs to execute on operational and HR efficiencies, in areas such as employee relations and communications, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, rewards and recognition. What will you spend your time doing? * Provide exceptional customer service to employees companywide with availability to answer questions and provide assistance on a variety of HR programs and processes, including but not limited to recruitment and onboarding, benefits and perks, HR policies, vacation and absence management, work permits, leave of absences, wellness programs, performance management, and exits * Provide expertise, guidance and coaching to employees to manage sensitive and complex employee relations matters * Manage the performance management cycle and feedback review process * Report on people insights and trends including but not limited to headcount, turnover, vacation, org charts, etc. * Process day-to-day operations and manage vendor relationships for employee total compensation and perks * Maintain and communicate updates accordingly regarding policies and related regulations, i.e. health and safety, AODA * Participate in employee events and support in employee engagement activities * Assist with recruitment and onboarding as required * Supports compensation cycle through effective processes and data management systems * Maintain and ensure full compliance of employment files and overall recordkeeping * Continuously look for improvements to elevate talent programs and employee engagement and satisfaction What do you need to be successful in this role? * 3+ years of experience in an operational human resources role, working directly with employees * Experience working with a diverse staff of technical and non-technical staff * Ability to prepare, analyze, and present reports using HRIS and Excel, both as needed and to recommend process improvements * Strong relationship and team building skills * Strong integrity to handle confidential and sensitive matters * Strong knowledge of provincial and federal employment laws and standards * Education in Business, Psychology, Human Resources or a related field Who will you be working with?
