You will be part of a highly skilled agile team and work in a very collaborative environment where you will have continuous learning opportunities and challenging work.What you will do?Facilitate Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with RBC Agile/Scrum practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planningAccountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet stakeholders’ needs and expectationsManage risks to delivery Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the teamRemove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies and simple team problem-solving, considering options and selecting solutions; escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessaryAccountable for creating and maintaining the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environmentManage team performance to promote joint accountability for results and solve productivity issuesNavigating and identifying shared IT services required by the team in the delivery of its objectivesAbout You…You think digital first and believe all customer experiences should be simple and effectiveA creative problem solver that can develop a plan, take ownership of tasks, and are outcome focusedA team player and keen to coach others and share ideas with your teamAn exceptional communicator able to articulate technical issues in plain languageYou keep up to date on web and mobile development trends and understanding how it applies to our customers needsWhat do you need to succeed?Must Haves:2 years in web and mobile development as a Scrum Master preferred3+ years of experience in software development and/or business analysis Practical experience with any of the key disciplines required in agile delivery – such as software development or business analysisUndergraduate Degree or equivalent experienceGreat intrapersonal skills working in a team environmentUnderstand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity and task definitionNice to have:Exposure to Project / Program delivery in Agile and/or Waterfall environmentAbility to apply RBC Agile Management Framework and well documented Agile techniques (User Stories, Burndown techniques, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous testing, etc.); SAFe experience is an assetCertified Agile Practitioner or equivalentWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
