Overview: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering all facets of the recruiting process within the Teknion Corp and Manufacturing Group. They will develop local and national recruiting plans, employ traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization is hiring the best possible talent. Responsibilities: * The Talent Acquisition Specialist establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs and develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-site organization. * The position will manage the full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals across all levels within multiple business units and create and implement Employment Marketing Strategies to attract passive job seekers. * The Talent Acquisition Specialist will build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruitment agencies, social media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities and making presentations. * The position will determine applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualifications and collaborate with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria. * The incumbent will determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references and comparing qualifications to job requirements. * The Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop and implement search strategies that include vendor selection process and performance metrics for all searches. * The position will develop and maintain career opportunities section on the Teknion website through the posting of positions, screening and cataloging resumes for future reference. * The Talent Acquisition Specialist will track and report key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity. * The position may be assigned additional departmental tasks and team assignments as assigned. Requirements: * A University degree/College diploma and/or equivalent experience in a field related to Human Resources Management * Minimum 5 years experience in recruitment * Knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles, and all applicable labour, human rights, and health and safety laws and regulations * Excellent communication, presentation, and human relations skills * Good problem solving , analytical, decision making skills, time management and organization skills Teknion is committed to supporting a culture of diversity and accessibility across the organization.
