For more than 30 years, Diamut has been manufacturing a complete range of diamond tools for working glass, stone and synthetic materials, for use on the majority of the machines on the market. Diamut became part of the Biesse Group in 2002, and now plays a major role in the business sector.

Job Title: Area Sales Manager for Stone Tooling

Territories available: Canada, must reside in Toronto

Experience: Minimum 3 years selling Stone Tooling

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Area Sales Manager who is responsible for all distributor sales activities of company’s Tooling Division products for stone materials. Such responsibilities include but are not limited to, cold calling, prospecting, qualifying, closing, and maintaining post sale relationships. Further responsible for maintaining all administrative requirements such as call reports and CRM updates.

Responsibility and tasks

Primary

· To find new dealer or partnership in the territory, identify alternative Dealer to our existing Dealers, and persuade them to sell our product in the assigned territory.

· To gain market share in this territory

· Present and sell company’s Tools products to current and potential customers.

· Prepare action plans and schedules to increase sales volume in the territory.

· Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity, trade shows, etc.

· Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.

· Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.

· Maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.

· Establish and maintain current customer and potential customer relationships.

· Identify and resolve customer concerns.

· Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.

· Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through activity to appropriate company staff.

Additional

· Participate in marketing events such as trade shows and seminars.

· Follow-up for collection of payment.

· Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of experience selling tools for stone materials

· Technical knowledge and education preferred

· Ability to uncover prospects needs and pains and offer solutions by way of consultative sales techniques.

· Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

· Ability to create, composes, and edits written materials.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Environment

· Position requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. Specific work attire may be required.

· Work requires significant travel in the territory

· Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and regular overnight travel.

· Position requires self-motivation.
