About Webcom Inc. Webcom is a leading Canadian print solutions provider servicing the North American market for over 40 years. With a long history of technology leadership, Webcom offers innovative  print solutions to address the challenges of high inventory and production costs. Webcom has invested $30 million in new digital inkjet presses, frontend technology and finishing equipment since 2011. Webcom operates out of a 170,000-square foot manufacturing plant located in Toronto and employs 200 people.

Strategic Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing Webcom business with top 25 global publishers with significant publishing markets in Canada and North America. He/she will manage existing publishers’ relationships and develop new business opportunities for Webcom. Strategic Account Executive work closely with Sales management to develop business solutions for tier one publishers and articulate Webcom’s vision to the C-level executives within their assigned territory.

Required Skills & Experience:

More than 7 years of experience calling on C-suite executives in a given market (trade publishing & professional reference)

Proven ability to understand customers’ business models and propose targeted solutions to address their business challenges

Ability to think strategically

Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets / marketing support roles will also be considered

Strong communication skills

University degree


Key Responsibilities:

Is able to gain access and develop trust of C-level executives within given territory to articulate Webcom’s business vision and value proposition.

Navigates complex organizational matrices to build alliances and develop support for Webcom’s products and services.

Develops a thorough understanding of the business models and strategies of the assigned accounts within his/her territory. Develops publishers profiles for various product lines, geographic markets, and publishing divisions.

Requires ability to juxtapose the specific publisher’s strategy, current business model and status versus others in their space to help create awareness of gaps/opportunities.

Identifies new opportunities and develops strategies to secure profitable business for Webcom.

Understands how Webcom’s solutions/products may benefit customers and work with extended Webcom team to to develop proposals based on the customers’ business requirements.

Develop insightful account plans capitalizing on Webcom’s core competencies and capabilities (both offset and inkjet); increase Webcom’s share of wallet within assigned territory by executing his/her account plan.

Delivers on the revenue goals and forecasts for assigned accounts.

Builds strong relationships with customers and prospects.

Documents, manages and maintains all sales contacts and related account information in CRM.

Represents and articulates Webcom’s value proposition at industry events and conferences.

Mentors other sales team members of Webcom to help them expand their skills and capabilities.
