The incumbent will provide clinical supervision and team leadership to interdisciplinary regulated and unregulated team members.

The incumbent will be responsible for assessment, provisional diagnosis, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, clinical consultation, education and referral services for clients and their families as appropriate, representing the three streams of service delivery: addiction, mental health and concurrent addiction and mental health issues.

The Assessor Coordinator Degree Senior as team lead will participate in addiction and mental health prevention and promotion activities and contribution to the establishment and maintenance of addiction and mental health resources in the community along with reduction of stigma.

The incumbent will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide a continuum of recovery oriented services to clients accessing community Addiction and Mental Health services.

Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Valid Drivers License Requires a Baccalaureate degree in a Regulated Healthcare Profession Must be eligible for registration with appropriate professions regulatory body Experience working in a community, intake services, assertive community treatment or flexible assertive community treatment models, Community Treatment Orders, crisis/emergency setting with clients experiencing concurrent disorders and homelessness is preferred Requires a minimum of five years addiction and mental health experience Current CPR (BLS Level C) Non Violent Crisis Intervention Training required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrated ability to teach and train a variety of users, in workshop formats and individual sessions Ability to plan, organize and coordinate efforts with other multidisciplinary team members as well as communicate effectively and adapt to changing conditions Knowledge of local human service organizations, resources and referral procedures Current knowledge of human growth and development, human behaviour, psychopathology, the family life cycle and systems theory Knowledge of how addictions and mental health impacts the individual, community and families Ability to make decisions in accordance with the policies and procedures of SHA Mental Health and Addiction Services and support Assessor Coordinators in also following this guideline Current knowledge of mental health and mental illness issues in a variety of settings and the impact on the client, family and community Ability to clearly articulate assessment findings in the formulation of referral plans and requests Initiative in organizing work in accordance with departmental procedures and in completing assigned tasks Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage time and stress Demonstrated knowledge in the area of adult assessment and intervention Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act Superior communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrate resourcefulness, ability to work independently and in a collaboration with others as required Other Information Field Hours Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

Additional Information The successful candidate is responsible to obtain and provide an original Criminal Record Check (CRC) & Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from their local police service, RCMP or previous country/countries of residence that is dated within the past six (6) months that is satisfactory to the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
