Sr Digital Product Manager, Market Data


This is a Part-time position in Scarborough, ON posted July 15, 2021.

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will manage the product roadmap of initiatives related to Market Data and help unlock the business value and client engagement for their development and implementation.

You will oversee the definition of scope, gather detailed requirements, manage prioritization, and ensure features and capabilities are built to specification.

You will work closely with the stakeholders, digital product management team, design, and development teams to build a clear product roadmap and monitor feedback and evaluate value creation.

You will work on a variety of short and long-term projects to address business needs and continually improve our offering and capabilities.

What will you do?

Manage the product life cycle from conception through release and beyond by collaborating with developers, product management, operations, and other teams Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, define priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks Execute through Agile Processes (Sprint planning, Sprint Retro, Backlog refinement, Sprint Review), and ensuring Jira/Confluence are up to date Translate product roadmap into well-defined product requirements including features, designs, user stories, and acceptance test criteria Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, balancing the requirements and inputs of multiple stakeholders Work closely with the technical development manager to lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology Support and assist impactful go-to-market plans, ensuring that team members, stakeholders, and executives have what they need to launch successful capabilities Analyze our data volume and trends over time to anticipate how the volume may impact the usability of our systems Support the development of architectural and design principles and standards to improve performance, capacity, resiliency and scalability of your product(s) to ensure safety and soundness What do you need to succeed?

Must have: 5 years of financial data product management experience or relevant finance domain-specific experience Experience integrating and aligning various types of financial market data from disparate providers into a common ecosystem, preferably focusing on a cohesive client experience Extensive knowledge of financial market data business requirements, customer needs, industry, regulatory challenges, and mission-critical market data solutions A perpetual learner with a curiosity for how systems work and interact with each other, and are passionate about getting those details correct through excessive focus and attention Bridge both the business and technical worlds, ensuring we are building the right products that combine vision, market/industry research, and client usage metrics Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with multiple development groups and internal stakeholders; must be an expert communicator, making sure there is buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategy, and clear instructions and deliverables for the developers What’s in it for you?
