This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.

Responsibilities Reporting to the Program Manager of Rehabilitation & Supportive Care, the Coordinator works with Staff Chaplains, denominational chaplains, community partners, practice councils, and educational institutions to foster person-centred care and collaborative inter-professional relationships.

The Coordinator acts as a resource to operational leadership and staff related to the delivery of spiritual and religious care services within the Rehabilitation & Supportive Care portfolio.

The Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders in the faith organizations and diverse communities of Central Zone, and with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC).

The Coordinator works with clinical staff to facilitate access to ongoing professional development and the delivery of the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program.

Qualifications Master of Divinity or equivalent (or equivalent Masters of Theology).

Certified specialist in Spiritual Care through CASC Certified Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Teaching Supervisor through CASC Three (3) years of spiritual care experience in a healthcare setting is preferable or 3 years related experience Success in collaborating with others Experience in initiating and managing projects Leadership qualities Networking and relationship building with stakeholders Strong problem-solving, communication and conflict resolution skills Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Successful Applicants are required to provide a criminal record check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) to People Services before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment PLEASE NOTE: Applicants will be screened based on the above qualifications.
