Job Description

Overview of Your Role:

You will work directly with the CEO and management team.

Enhanced Medical Nutrition (“EMN”) has significant early stage traction, which means that you will have increased responsibility, and opportunity to grow with the company. As opposed to corporate roles, you will be able to contribute immediately. The visibility and diversity of this role can provide access to crucial professional development.

Your role will be focused on generating and supporting new interest from surgical quality improvement programs and key opinion leaders in surgical oncology. Evaluating prospective opportunities and managing an existing pipeline will be essential to achieving sales and long-term relationships. There will also be an opportunity to liaise with international distributors and clinical leads with the goal of education and collaboration.

Progression:

With a clinical business development background, we anticipate your first 3 months will be focused on comprehension, networking and establishing relationships with our community. Following this introduction, we will expect you to own your business development opportunity with the ability to autonomously take an organization from introduction to contract.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Liaise with CEO to identify key ERAS collaborators and regional reference sites across North America.
• Connect with these potential customers, generating initial interest in Enhanced Medical Nutrition by showing that you understand their challenges and opportunities.
• Communicate and coordinate site visits to demonstrate the advantages of partnering with Enhanced Medical Nutrition.
• Document your success in a CRM system.
• Evaluate our sales process on an ongoing basis, and generate new strategies to improve results.

Skills and Traits to be Successful:

• You are a self-starter who seizes the day.
3 years of experience in medical sales/business development.
• Post-secondary education.
• You have extremely strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You are outgoing and able to manage direct clinical conversations and correspondence.
• You have a positive attitude and are driven/passionate about quality improvement in healthcare.

Compensation:

Your compensation package will be competitive and involve base salary and commission on sales.

Company DescriptionEnhanced Medical Nutrition ("EMN") is a university-based life sciences organization engaged in the research, development, production, and distribution of evidence-based clinical nutrition in the perioperative setting.

Patients are unprepared for the metabolic stress of surgery. As a result, surgical infection, prolonged hospital stay, and lean muscle loss create an increased risk to patients and prohibitive costs to healthcare systems. EMN supports the patient’s journey through surgery with clinical nutrition to help patients prepare better and recover faster. EMN’s initial offerings include three evidence-based enteral formulas (drinks/tube feeds) to support muscle metabolism, immune function and accelerate recovery.
