Interior Health Sunnybank Retirement Centre has a rewarding relief part time (0.73 FTE) nursing opportunity.

This position is to provide coverage until the return of the incumbent approximately until April 2, 2022.

The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse provides: nursing care to psychiatric patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team; enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers; demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice; maintains and advances own clinical competence; participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

Sunnybank Retirement Centre is located in Oliver, embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible.

This facility is one-storey with 51 single rooms with ensuite washrooms.

There are four wings, which include 6 convalescent beds and 2 short stay beds.

The days of work for this position are days and the shift times are from 07:00 to 15:00 hours.

Apply today Qualifications Education, Training and Experience:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

• Post
– basic education in gerontology an asset.
