The Legal Research Product team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer
– Java for our team.

The candidate in this position will work along with other developers on the team to design and implement the Checkpoint product.

Checkpoint is Thomson Reuters’ premier research and guidance product for tax professionals.

We are seeking a combination of experience and technical knowledge in the design and development of enterprise applications including software design, API design, and development, hands-on implementation experience with Java technologies.

We are looking for an ideal candidate who can maintain a focus on delivering quality code including non-functional requirements like application performance to create a world-class experience for our customers.

About the Role As a Sr.

Software Engineer , you will: Build and Develop
– software applications by understanding user needs, writing well-designed code, conducting validation/testing, and executing full SDLC from design through release using Java, J2EE, and Angular Be a Team Player

– continuously update yourself with next-generation technology, development tools, and contribute to process development practices Be an Agile Person

– articulate complex technical issues, and share ideas, participate in peer reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills Take Ownership
– Own spikes, POCs, and user stories in the interest of getting the feature ready for the team on time with quality and provide timely reporting on issues to management Be a Leader

Software Engineer if you have: Basic qualifications: 5 years of relevant software development experience in full-stack development in Java, J2EE, and Angular In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented programming, Design patterns, SDLC, and reusable software Experience building RESTful APIs with a technology stack of Java and related frameworks 3 years of experience in jQuery, Angular or similar technologies Experience working with Relational databases Preferred qualifications: Experience in AWS Experience in NoSQL database Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience What’s in it For You At Thomson Reuters, our people are our greatest assets.
