Coordinator, Inventory Control & Systems

This is a Part-time position in Scarborough, ON posted July 16, 2021.

Position Profile Join our Biomedical Engineering Department as we work together to deliver compassionate care that is responsive to the healthcare needs of our community.

We are currently hiring for the position of Coordinator, Inventory Control & Systems .

Employee Group: Non Union Responsibilities Track and coordinate medical devices, medical instruments, and loaner equipment for Biomedical and Dialysis departments in compliance with budget limitations and purchasing procedures Ensures update status of new capital/minor equipment, as well as, the continuous monitoring of their locations Correspond with vendors and Procurement to coordinate timely delivery of medical device requests Obtain, correlate and summarize capital & minor equipment requests Place orders for minor and capital equipment following Purchasing approval process Organize the delivery and final placement of the capital & minor equipment requests Match purchase orders to invoices received from suppliers; address discrepancies; Manager reviews and approves for remittance Process vendor recalls; assist in collecting, returning and or corrective actions for recalled products or warnings in collaboration with Procurement and Biomedical Engineering Supervisor Compare prices and recommend cost savings opportunities to Senior Director Address supply issues as necessary Check incoming inspections, testing, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure that are documented correctly and accurately Manage the full spectrum of medical device tracking from entry of new medical devices to their disposal through the current system Generate and tabulate reports from Meditech, Biomedical database, RFID tracker software, manual spread sheets and eforms to update iHumber, report to ORN and for numerous committees Generate utilization reports for staff errors, departmental errors, productivity reports and medical devices, medical device, and any required reports Track medical device depreciation and produce forecast for medical device replacements through the current system Maintain medical/surgical supplies and service systems and processes in collaboration with Biomed/Dialysis staff, Procurement, Logistics, Biomedical Engineering Supervisor and other stakeholders Collaborate with Senior Director, SPD, Biomedical Engineering and Supply Chain management, internal clients, Procurement & Logistics, and Finance to assist with projects related to inventory management and recommend cost saving opportunities Recommend to Supervisor Biomedical Engineering design, implementation, and maintenance of operational process improvements and share related information Records minutes and circulates with agenda one week before next committee meeting for committees assigned by Senior Director, SPD, Biomedical Engineering and Supply Chain Management Formulates and communicates memos related to annual capital & minor equipment requests, annual sterilization surveys, biomedical surveys and monthly/annual reports for internal and external groups such as but not limited to ORN, MOH, CMEPP and Senior Team Requirements: Business Diploma required Purchasing and Supply Management Association of Canada (PMAC) certification preferred 2 years of recent experience in purchasing/logistics required MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required Knowledge and applied experience of Purchasing proposal process, contract administration, product evaluation & Vendor management required Interpersonal, negotiation, problem solving, customer service skills required Why Humber?
