Disability Claims Analyst, Group Insurance Bilingual (French/English)


This is a Part-time position in Scarborough, ON posted July 16, 2021.

What is the opportunity?

Apply Now for September 2021 start date Train remotely and work from home As a Bilingual (French & English) Disability Claims Analyst, you will adjudicate and manage disability claims in a team-oriented, multi-disciplinary, digital environment.

You will also be responsible for ensuring claims are adjudicated and paid in accordance with unit procedures while delivering superior client service.

You will be required to apply appropriate risk management strategies which will impact on the company’s financial results, reputation and regulatory risks, client relationships, and business retention.

What will you do?

• Be accountable for assigned disability claims utilizing a multidisciplinary claim management model to: -ensure objective, fair, timely and thorough claim adjudication -comply with practices and procedures and regulatory requirements -provide the highest level of customer service and manage reputational risk
• Develop and implement claim management and return to work strategies for your assigned caseload
• Recognize and investigate complex issues and escalate, when appropriate bring these issues to your mentor, Lead or Manager
• Effectively manage multiple client needs, including weekly client reporting, weekly/monthly client conference calls and internal job demands What will you need to succeed?

• Post-secondary education
• Excellent communication skills in English and French (written and spoken)
• Proven ability to effectively deal with customers in a manner that is professional with a high degree of customer service
• Must be able to multitask, handle high demands and tight timelines
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills with an ability to effectively manage change
• Must have the ability to learn and to work on multiple systems
• Must have the ability to handle highly emotional telephone calls with a high level of empathy Nice-to-have
• Proven disability claims experience, ideally in Group Short or Long Term Disability What’s in it for you?
