Position Overview Under the general direction of the Director of Materiel Services and within the Vision, Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Seven Oaks General Hospital, the ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANING SERVICES AIDE is responsible for maintaining the facility in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition.

He/She performs all required cleaning functions, including restocking of supplies, waste removal, recycling, and other related duties.

Experience Previous environmental cleaning services experience in a health care setting preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade X education.

Recognized Housekeeping Course (e.g.

“Fundamental Housekeeping Methodology”) an asset.

Qualifications and Skills Detail oriented with an ability to organize and adjust to variable workloads.

Ability to prioritise assignments and meet deadlines.

Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

Physical Requirements Must be in good physical condition to meet the demands of the position.

The Collective Agreement this position is covered under, is identified by the Union noted above.

As a result of The Health Sector Bargaining Unit Review Act , the bargaining agent for this position may differ from the Union identified.
