Due to the continued growth of our International Tax practice, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Analyst, International Tax Compliance in Toronto. This position will be involved in expanding the International Tax Compliance practice.

As a Senior Analyst, International Tax – Risk Management & Reporting your responsibilities will include:
•    Oversight and expansion of the International Tax compliance practice
•    Preparing and reviewing foreign affiliate surplus computations, FAPI calculations and T1134 information returns for multinationals with significant foreign subsidiary investments
•    Assisting with training staff nationally to educate colleagues with changes in tax law that affect international tax compliance
•    Assisting with managing large FAPI and surplus computation projects
•    Actively identifying opportunities for process efficiencies, workflow management, tax compliance policies and automation in the growing international tax compliance practice
•    Coordinate and assist domestic tax colleagues nationally for tax compliance issues involving international tax.
•    Technical research with respect to the above as well as outbound and inbound advisory projects.

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Senior Analyst, International Tax – Risk Management & Reporting? Like the colour purple? Great. Here’s a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

  • 2+  years of experience working in Canadian Corporate Tax, with a minimum 1 year of International Tax Planning & Compliance experience with a professional services firm or multinational corporation with significant foreign affiliates
  • Possess an accounting designation (CPA) or Member of the Bar
  • Completion or enrollment in the CICA in-depth tax course program or a Master’s Degree in Taxation
  • Keen desire to develop subject matter expertise on international matters, specifically the foreign affiliate and surplus regimes
  • Demonstrate well-developed analytical and research skills, together with attention to detail
  • Committed to providing exceptional client service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Superior communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Comfortable with reading and explaining technical tax matters
  • Well-organized and able to balance competing demands
  • Excellent client service skills and disciplined follow-up
  • Proven problem solver with solid analytical skills
  • Professional self-confidence
  • Advanced knowledge of excel and automation processes is an asset
