We offer an unparalleled array of turnkey services such as product development, R+D, QA/QC services, client services and manufacturing solutions for big name beauty brands within the cosmetic industry.Cosmetica has a simple strategy: the best innovation, the best execution and service, the best speed-to-market, and the best people.Could that be you?As our Senior Buyer, you’ll oversee the entire buying process:  everything from researching potential opportunities, sourcing materials/packaging, contracting suppliers and negotiating contracts.Working with our Product Development, Quality, Sales, Packaging and Manufacturing departments, you’ll take stock of our current suppliers and find opportunities to improve for both cost and quality.  Success in this role will depend on your ability to intuitively understand the needs of our production and packaging departments, and ability to balance your work to meet those needs. Whether you’re sourcing and procuring new materials and services for our changing needs, or analyzing current processes for efficiency, you’ll support our overall manufacturing operations by forging strong, lasting partnerships with vendors and 3rd party contractors.  We’ll look to you to successfully manage your own projects, hit your deadlines, and advance our goals with minimal supervision,The best in this role will do more than ensure that we have the right materials and services at the right time:  they’ll anticipate our ongoing business needs and find ways to optimize the supply process in the short and long term. Practically speaking, some of your responsibilities will include:* Source and negotiate prices, terms, and volume discounts from current suppliers* Track, record, analyze data, evaluate cost savings opportunities, and present innovative opportunities.* Seek out and qualify new, alternative, and innovative suppliers* Monitor, maintain, and improve relevant KPIs (cost, quality, delivery, etc.)* Develop opportunities for vendor managed inventory processes* Monitor, review, and manage the performance of current suppliers to ensure quality, service, and pricing expectations are met* Develop strong partnerships with key suppliers* Work with suppliers to being new and innovative opportunities to the management teamYou’ll thrive in this role if you love talking to business partners, making deals, and having a huge impact on the success of your company. We are committed to developing great leaders and we provide progressive and ongoing leadership training.Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in in related field and/or APICS, PMAC certification.* Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Buyer in the consumer goods industry, preferably in pharmaceutical and/or cosmetics.* 3-5 years’ experience sourcing and procurement experience in primary packaging with an emphasis on overseas packaging transactions.* Experience negotiating terms and cost with suppliers.* Experience with project management best practices and tools, including variance analysis, post-project evaluations, and work breakdown structure.* Strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel and experience in SAP, ERP/MRP systems would be an asset.How to ApplyOur online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
