George, NB, E5C 3S3 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Executive Director provides the leadership to effectively deliver the mandate of St.

George & Area Food Bank including overseeing the operational excellence, financial health as well as the co-development and execution for the strategic plan to ensure maximum effectiveness.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors, Food Banks Canada and NBFDA.

Communicate, motivate, and lead all those involved to contribute to the realization of strategic and operational goals and actions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including all levels of government.

Manage revenues and expenditures within the parameters of the approved budget.

Provide timely advice to the Board regarding developments that may affect the corporation’s capacity to responsibly pursue its objectives, recruit, develop and manage staff and volunteers in a manner consistent with approved Board policies.

Manage financial, and human resources, year-end reports including payroll, expenditures, banking procedures, recording of all donations.

Provide reports that allow the Board to assess the following: financial status of the corporation, its workforce, status of meeting its objectives, its compliance with approved policies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements Demonstrated ability to set goals with positive results.

Work with fiscal realities and be attuned to human resource and organizational context.

Drivers’ License and access to a vehicle.

Ability to lift 20 kilograms.

Relevant post-secondary education in human services, non-profit management, or related disciplines, is an asset.

Preferred Skills Exhibit a high level of sensitivity and emotional intelligence.

Strong interpersonal skills as well as effective verbal and written competency in English.

Ability to be adaptive, flexible, and compassionate.
