Manager, Engagement Initiatives and Measurements – Toronto, ON


This is a Contract position in Scarborough, ON posted June 11, 2021.

Purpose This position is responsible for coordinating employee voice activities as well as developing supporting tools and resources to elevate how we collect, analyze and action employee feedback across the organization.

This is a global position that will collaborate with business and HR stakeholders to align organizational initiatives that enable our Winning Teams to deliver for every future .

Accountabilities Support the design and delivery of employee engagement and lifecycle surveys globally In collaboration with key partners, design and implement supporting processes to administer surveys and action results Serve as employee engagement SME helping HR partners and business leaders best leverage the program tools and resources to improve employee experience and overall business performance Work with the vendor (Qualtrics) to administer the supporting technology that enables the program Keep abreast of internal/external research and best practices in order to bring quality of insight, recommendations and specialized techniques to the work Work with team to establish clear targets to measure, assess and communicate progress Manage Scotiabank’s executive performance management process Establish project plan, collaborate with stakeholders, and create materials for Board meetings Support the design and ongoing measurement strategy for common goals Lead the design and implementation of measurement framework Seek out opportunities to enhance and automate existing reports and dashboards Establish and track KPIs for performance, engagement and culture initiatives Lead ongoing initiatives and governance activities in support of broader Performance, Engagement and Culture strategies Provide subject matter expertise for cross-functional projects Budget management (expense tracking and forecasting, staff reporting) Prepare submissions for external employer of choice awards and regulatory reporting Responsible for Business Continuity Planning and Quarterly Archive Management activities Coordinate bi-monthly HRBP Open Forum sessions on behalf of Talent Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma with a focus in Business, or related field 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably supporting the build of HR programs Experience analyzing data sets to generate insights and connect different ideas into cohesive recommendations and executive-ready presentations Strong business communication, presentation and writing skills Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint Intellectual curiosity around ‘best-in-class’ practices (inside and outside the Bank) Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence without direct authority Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities Experience with SAP SuccessFactors modules and reporting functionalities preferred Spanish is considered an asset Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
