We offer an unparalleled array of turnkey services such as product development, R+D, QA/QC services, client services and manufacturing solutions for big name beauty brands within the cosmetic industry.Cosmetica has a simple strategy: the best innovation, the best execution and service, the best speed-to-market, and the best people.Could this be you?As our new Procurement Manager, you’ll oversee the entire procurement process: everything from researching potential opportunities, contacting suppliers, negotiating contracts, delivering value, cost optimization opportunities, and improving financial and operational performance.Working with our Product Development, Quality, Sales and Packaging and Manufacturing departments, you’ll take stock of our current suppliers and find opportunities to improve for both cost and quality. You understand the needs of production, and create policies and contracts that balance the needs of QA and production. You excel in problem solving and analysis, and are motivated to achieve realistic, measurable results.You’ll also manage our business partnerships. Whether you’re meeting potential suppliers for the first time, or adapting old contracts for our changing needs, you’ll forge strong, lasting partnerships. You’re independent, and advanced at sourcing strategic goals with minimal supervision.The best in this role will do more than ensure that we have the right materials and machines at the right time: they’ll anticipate our ongoing business needs and find ways to optimize the supply process in the short and long term. Practically speaking, some of your responsibilities will include:* Develop and implement Strategic Sourcing policies and systems.* Monitor, maintain, and improve relevant KPIs (cost, quality, delivery, etc.)* Develop a Supplier Relationship Management process.* Represent Cosmetica in contract and policy negotiations with suppliers.* Anticipate and prevent possible supply chain issues.* Be a key contact for suppliers and resolve issues according to contract.* Ensure consistent quality and compliance across suppliers.* Oversee RFP processes.* Manage the procurement team and leading them through transformation.* Coach the team to develop capabilities in procurement.You’ll thrive in this role if you love talking to business partners, making deals, and having a huge impact on the success of your company. We are committed to developing great leaders and we provide progressive and ongoing leadership training.Qualifications* Degree in business, commerce, or similar; master’s degree would be an asset.* 8-10 years experience in procurement/strategic sourcing in a consumer goods industry, preferably in manufacturing and/or cosmetics.* Experience implementing new technology/processes.* Experience in organizational development, coaching, and implementation.* High business acumen, and experience with NPV, TIR, and pay back approach.* Experience overseeing RFP processes for the purposes of procurement.* Experience managing small/medium sized teams.* Strong computer skills, and proficiency in Excel, SAP, and Ariba.* Supply Chain Management designation would be an asset.How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
